Following an official statement released by POSSAP on X on Thursday, vehicle proprietors have been advised to finalize their renewal procedures prior to permit expiration in order to circumvent complications during routine traffic inspections.

To initiate a tint permit renewal, applicants must access the official website at https://possap.gov.ng and authenticate themselves using their existing account credentials.

Upon successful authentication, users should navigate to the 'Profile' icon positioned in the upper-right section of the interface, proceed to select 'Service Request,' and subsequently choose 'Renewals.'

The platform will subsequently present all expired permits associated with the account. Applicants may then identify the applicable permit, select 'Actions,' and click 'Renew Permit' to advance in the process.

Regarding the verification procedure, two methodologies are accessible. Individuals preferring an in-person inspection may select the SIB/FIB option and designate their respective state and police command. Conversely, applicants may elect virtual verification by selecting 'Verify Documents Online,' specifying their state and police command, and proceeding to 'Continue to VVS' to authenticate the vehicle's VIN.

Following successful verification, users must select 'Generate Invoice & Continue' and remit the requisite payment. Upon completion of payment processing, the renewal application will be evaluated and sanctioned by the appropriate authorities.
